Germany's biggest opera and concert building
The new stage building opened in 1998 and has 2,500 seats. Stars of the
international classic scene are frequent guests and are enthusiastic about
the excellent acoustics in the building. The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
as well as the New York Philharmonics are regular performers.

Museum Frieder Burda
This collection comprises over 650 m masterpieces of modern and
contemporary sculptures, objects and paintings, amongst them paintings
by some German expressionsts such as Max Beckmann, Ernst Ludwig
Kirchner or August Macke, to name a few. Another important group is
formed by some late paintings by Picasso and by the American abstract
expressionists Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning.
At the time of the AMD symposium there will be a special exhibition
showing works by Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, Roy Lichtenstein,
Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol.

Tour of the casino Baden-Baden and city stroll
with the famous drinking hall with its fresco décor
The casino at Baden-Baden is one of the oldest and most traditional in
Europe. The famous staterooms were long ago decorated by French interior
designers and visitors are impressed by the rich historic splendour of
the rooms. During a walk around the town we will be showing you the
spa area with its hot and healing thermal springs, the “Kurhaus“ which
is one of the most famous buildings in Baden-Baden with its beautifully
designed arcades and the exquisite shops and beautiful houses with
glorious facades.
